How to create a quick floating menu and access from anywhere in the Dashboard?
WP Adminify's Quick Menu feature allows you to create a floating menu for faster access to key areas of your WordPress dashboard. This helps enhance user efficiency, allowing you to access important tools or links from anywhere in the dashboard with just one click.
Steps to Create a Quick Floating Menu:
1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard
Start by logging in to your WordPress admin panel.
2. Navigate to the Quick Menu Settings
Go to WP Adminify > Quick Menu. Here, you can configure and customize the Quick Menu.
3. Add Quick Menu Items
You will see a list of default quick menu items. You can:
- Remove any existing items by clicking the delete icon.
- Duplicate items if you need similar quick access to different areas.
- Click the "Add New Quick Menu" button to create a custom floating menu item.
4. Configure the Quick Menu Item
When adding a new quick menu, fill in the following fields:
- Menu Title: This is the text that appears when you hover over the Quick Menu icon. Use a descriptive name, so you know exactly where the link takes you.
- Menu Link: Add the URL you want the menu item to link to. You can also select the option to open the link in a new tab if needed.
- Menu Icon: Select an icon from the integrated icon library. This is the visual representation of your quick menu item. Choose an icon that is relevant to the action for easy recognition.
5. Save the Quick Menu
After configuring your new quick menu items, click the Save button to store the changes. Your new floating menu will now be accessible from anywhere in the WordPress dashboard.With the Quick Menu set up, you can easily access frequently used admin areas, plugin settings, or external resources with just one click. This floating menu enhances your workflow, giving you the ability to navigate the dashboard efficiently.
