Redirect the comments menu to WP-Admin automatically
The Disable Comments feature in WP Adminify allows you to redirect users who click on the Comments menu in the WordPress admin dashboard. Instead of taking users to the default comments moderation page, you can automatically redirect them to the wp-admin dashboard. This can be useful if you’ve disabled comments but still want to retain the comments menu for consistency.
Follow these steps to set up automatic redirection of the Comments menu to the wp-admin dashboard:
1. Access Disable Comments Feature in WP Adminify
To begin, log in to your WordPress dashboard:
- Navigate to WP Adminify > Security > Disable Comments
2. Enable the Disable Comments Feature
Make sure the Disable Comments feature is active by toggling the switch to the Show position (green). This will allow you to customize the comment-related settings for your WordPress site.
3. Select the Option to Redirect Comments Menu to WP-Admin
Within the Disable Comments settings, locate the option labeled Admin Menu "Comments" Redirect to wp-admin.
- Check the box next to Admin Menu "Comments" Redirect to wp-admin. This setting will ensure that whenever someone clicks on the Comments option in the WordPress admin menu, they will be redirected to the wp-admin dashboard instead of the default comments page.
4. Save Your Settings
After selecting the Admin Menu "Comments" Redirect to wp-admin option, scroll down to the bottom of the settings page and click the Save Changes button to apply your new configuration.
5. Verify the Redirection
To confirm that the comments menu is being redirected to the wp-admin dashboard:
- Go to your WordPress admin menu and click on Comments.
- You should automatically be redirected to the wp-admin dashboard.
