Track Dashboard user activity
WP Adminify’s Activity Logs addon is an essential tool for monitoring the actions taken by users within the WordPress dashboard. It provides a detailed log of activities, allowing admins to track and audit user behavior to ensure accountability and transparency. This feature is particularly useful for multi-user environments, such as team-managed websites, where keeping track of user interactions is vital.
How to Access and Activate Activity Logs:
1. Activate the Addon:
- First, navigate to the WP Adminify dashboard in your WordPress admin panel.
- Head to the Addons section and find the Activity Logs addon.
- Download and activate it.
2. Navigating to Activity Logs:
- Once the addon is activated, you will see a new option called Activity Logs in the WP Adminify dashboard menu on the left-hand side.
- Click on this option to access the tracking interface, as shown in the provided image.
Using Activity Logs to Track User Actions:
The Activity Logs screen allows you to view a detailed list of actions taken by users, including:
- Date: When the action occurred.
- Author: The user who performed the action.
- IP Address: IP information to track the location of the user.
- Type: The type of action (e.g., post update, plugin installation).
- Label: A brief label describing the action.
- Action: Details of what was done (e.g., edited, deleted, added).
- Description: A more in-depth description of the action performed.
- Delete: An option to remove the log entry if needed.
Customizing Activity Logs:
- Data Retention: You can adjust how long to store the activity logs. The default setting is 30 days, but this can be easily modified by changing the value in the Data Store for field.
- Search & Filter: Use the Search function to filter logs by user actions, authors, or keywords, making it easier to find specific records.
By using WP Adminify’s Activity Logs, you can ensure your WordPress dashboard remains secure and transparent while gaining insights into user behavior and interactions.
