How to redirect all visitors who try to login via /wp-admin to Dashboard?

Redirecting visitors who attempt to log in via the default /wp-admin URL directly to the WordPress Dashboard is a useful security feature. With WP Adminify’s Redirect URLs feature, you can manage this redirection efficiently. Follow these steps to ensure that anyone trying to access /wp-admin will be redirected properly to the dashboard.

1. Access the Redirect URLs Settings

To begin changing the WordPress login URL:

  • From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to WP Adminify > Security > Redirect URLs.
Enable Redirect URLs feature

2. Enable Redirect URLs Feature

Ensure that the Redirect URLs feature is enabled by toggling the Show button at the top of the settings page.

Login and Register URL change option

3. Set the Redirect Admin

Under the Login/Register URL tab, locate the Redirect Admin field. This is where you set up the redirection for users trying to access /wp-admin.

  • In the Redirect Admin field, set the URL path (typically can be your homepage).
  • By doing this, any visitor attempting to access /wp-admin will be redirected directly to the homepage or any other page you mentioned.

4. Save Changes

Once you’ve configured the Redirect Admin URL, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

5. Test the Redirection

To test if the redirection is functioning correctly, log out of your account and attempt to access /wp-admin:

  • It will redirect you to the custom URL you set in the Redirect Admin field.
