How to show post thumbnails columns in WordPress post?
WP Adminify's Custom Admin Columns feature allows you to add useful columns to your WordPress admin post lists, including post thumbnails. This can be helpful if you need a visual reference of the featured images for posts right from the admin panel.
Follow the steps below to display post thumbnail columns in your WordPress posts list:
1. Enable the Custom Admin Columns Feature
To begin, make sure the Custom Admin Columns feature is enabled:
- Go to WP Adminify > Productivity > Custom Admin Columns from your WordPress dashboard.
- Toggle the switch to Show to activate the feature.
2. Select "Show Post Thumbnails Column" Option
Once the feature is enabled, you will see multiple options to customize the admin columns. To display the post thumbnails:
- Check the box labeled Show Post Thumbnails Column.
This will add a thumbnail image column to the WordPress admin post list.
3. Customize the Thumbnail Column (Optional)
You can further customize how the post thumbnail column is displayed:
- If you want to add a specific default thumbnail image when posts do not have a featured image, click on the Add Thumbnail Image button and upload a default image. Otherwise, the featured image used in the post will be displayed in the thumbnail column.
4. Save the Changes
Once you’ve configured the settings:
- Scroll down and click Save Changes to apply the changes.
5. View the Post Thumbnails in the Admin Post List
Now, when you go to Posts > All Posts, you will see a new column showing the featured images (thumbnails) for each post. If a post doesn’t have a featured image, the column will either be empty or show the default image you selected.
