Show comment ID columns in comment page
WP Adminify’s Custom Admin Columns feature lets you display essential information like Comment IDs directly in your WordPress admin panel. Comment IDs are helpful for developers or site admins when troubleshooting or using plugins that require comment references.
Here’s how to display the Comment ID column on the WordPress comments page using this feature:
1. Enable the Custom Admin Columns Feature
Before you can add any custom columns, make sure the Custom Admin Columns feature is activated:
- Go to WP Adminify > Productivity > Custom Admin Columns in your WordPress dashboard.
- Toggle the setting to Show to enable this feature.
2. Select "Show Comment ID Column"
Once the feature is activated, you will have the option to show various types of columns. To display Comment IDs:
- Check the box labeled Show "Comment ID" Column for Comment, Also show "Parent ID".
This setting will add columns displaying both the Comment ID and, if applicable, the Parent ID of comments in the admin comment list.
3. Save the Changes
Once you’ve selected the option for Comment IDs:
- Scroll down and click Save Changes to apply the settings.
4. View Comment IDs in the Comments List
After saving the changes, navigate to:
- Comments > All Comments
You will now see new columns in the comments list displaying both the Comment ID and, if relevant, the Parent Comment ID. These columns will make it easier to manage and reference specific comments.
