Remove Gravatar Queries
Gravatar images often come with additional query strings attached to their URLs, which can negatively impact caching and performance. WP Adminify’s Performance Enhancements feature provides a way to remove these query strings, which can help improve the loading speed of your site. Here’s how you can easily remove Gravatar query strings using WP Adminify.
1. Access the Performance Enhancements Feature in WP Adminify
To begin, log in to your WordPress dashboard:
- Navigate to WP Adminify > Performance > Performance Enhancements.
2. Enable the Performance Enhancements Feature
Ensure that the Performance Enhancements feature is activated:
- Toggle the switch to Show (it should turn green).
- Once enabled, several performance-related options will be available to optimize your site.
3. Select the Option to Remove Gravatar Query Strings
Scroll down to find the option labeled Remove Gravatar Query Strings:
- Check the box next to this option to remove query strings from Gravatar URLs.
4. Save Your Changes
After you’ve selected the option to remove Gravatar query strings:
- Scroll down and click the Save Changes button to apply the settings.
5. Verify the Gravatar Query Strings Removal
Once your settings are saved, visit a page on your site that displays Gravatars (like a comment section):
- Inspect the Gravatar image URLs to ensure the query strings have been removed, optimizing the loading process.
