Remove Dash Icons from Front-end
Dashicons are a set of icons used within the WordPress dashboard. While they are useful for administrators, they are often loaded unnecessarily for public visitors, which can impact your site's performance. WP Adminify’s Performance Enhancements feature allows you to remove Dashicons from the front-end for public visitors, helping to speed up page loading times. Here’s how you can disable Dashicons on the front-end using WP Adminify.
1. Access the Performance Enhancements Feature in WP Adminify
To get started, log in to your WordPress dashboard:
- Navigate to WP Adminify > Performance > Performance Enhancements.
2. Enable the Performance Enhancements Feature
Make sure the Performance Enhancements feature is activated:
- Toggle the switch to Show (it should turn green).
- Once enabled, several performance-related options will be available.
3. Select the Option to Remove Dashicons from the Front-End
Scroll down to find the option labeled Remove Dashicons from front-end for Public Visitors:
- Check the box next to this option to remove Dashicons from loading on the front-end of your website for public users who are not logged in.
4. Save Your Changes
After you’ve selected the option to remove Dashicons:
- Scroll down and click the Save Changes button to confirm and apply the settings.
5. Verify the Removal of Dashicons
Once your changes are saved, visit your website as a public visitor (logged out) and inspect the page to ensure Dashicons are no longer being loaded:
- You can use a browser's developer tools to check the network or resources being loaded to confirm Dashicons are not present.
